Santa Helena's Casa Olon is a magical place to visit. At the house you'll find your cook ready to make you some beautiful local meals, like The Frtiada, which is a delicate cow's meat fried with onions and chopped up with local seasoning, the meat falling apart at you eat it. Served with fresh rice and tostones this is a meal to remember. As well as the wonderful Locro, a thick stew popular in Ecuador. The Soup is made with corn, beans, and potato or pumpkin soup well known along the South American regions. These are just some of the flavors you'll find.

In the mood to go out? Aside from the wonderful cook we have our beach cafe's simply 10 minutes walk that serve fresh sandwiches and drinks. Take a walk along the beach and find that you'll have the best meals while just staring out onto the ocean. Enjoy a cup of espresso or just enjoy the smells and sounds as you walk through town, which most of the visitors call their "favorite" experience. We also have bikes on hand to make that experience even nicer, enjoy a long bike ride and simply take in the sights and sounds.

Some more fancy eating can be found in Salinas, about an hour drive. The area is filled with upmarket restaurants, shopping, golfing, and some great health clubs. There you will find Cafe Jazz, which has some of the best breakfasts I've ever tasted, with amazing fresh baked breads to the omelettes with fresh grown vegetable and the spectacular cafe con leche. If you are in the mood for something Italian or special, try the Gourmet Italian, the menu there looks like artwork, from the hand made pasta to the fresh thinly sliced octopus and amazing hand tossed pizzas, you'll never get enough. This will fill any pallet.

Enjoy all of Ecuador's amazing treats, once you try it once you're sure to return.
